SD card wear-out in mind?

Does emby server consider write-to-disk minimization to prevent SD card wear out in RapsberryPi?

E.g. writing MBs of data during watching a movie.

Could someone please check?

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install iotop

# list every 1min disk users

sudo iotop -o -b -d 60 -a -P

if your media doesn't require transcoding, then it'll only be writing to the log file.

Is it possible to turn down logging level, after everything is working fine?

What logging do you feel is excessive? Can you please go over an example? Thanks.

I was thinking setting a logging level of ERROR, so normally nothing would be in the log after watching movies.

Is there a config file for that?

What about meta data (cover..), any heavy disk write there during watching a movie?

The default logging really should not be too bad. Again if you have a specific example of something you feel is excessive, then we're happy to discuss it.

We don't have an error level setting for logging, but it's possible for the future.

Thanks, I will give it a go!
