lharris 3 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 I have this weird issue where all of the Season 0 or "Specials" are showing up in not only in the Specials season, but in Season 2 (the latest) season of a show as well. If you click the season, then click information button for that show and scroll to the bottom, the path is literally the same... so the same file is getting detected twice and then stuffed into both seasons. The paths and filenames below are sanitized for... reasons... I thought maybe the files were getting detected weirdly because of the naming so I have tried renaming the folder from \\storage1.<localdomain>.home\TV Shows\Show Name - Subname\Specials\Show.Name.Subname.S00E02.mkv To \\storage1.<localdomain>.home\TV Shows\Show Name - Subname\Season 0\Show.Name.Subname.S00E02.mkv With no luck I've tried renaming the files themselves from something like Show.Name.Subname.S00E02.Description1.Description2.EpisodeName.1080p.<Indentifier>.<Quality>.DDP5.1.x264-<releaseinfo>.mkv to something simple like Show.Name.Subname.S00E02.mkv with no change. I looked at TVDB and I can't seem to find a reason why the episodes are getting detected twice and ending up in both the Specials folder and the Season 2 folder. I am intentionally leaving some info out because I don't know how much is ok to share, I can provide logs and screenshots and idk just unzip my fly in terms of info if its ok. Let me know
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 9, 2020 Solution Posted January 9, 2020 I would assume that is the season the specials are suppose to air in. This would mean you have "Display specials within seasons they aired in" enabled. Dashboard-Library-Advanced 1
Luke 42078 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Have you explored the values in the metadata editor for this item?

I didn't even know those options where there. Thanks for the response from both of you. Edited January 10, 2020 by lharris

Now I checked 2 show with specials (and obviusly the airs before tag in it), and I don't see it in seasons.. (checked on android) wtf? Edited January 27, 2020 by Bazzu85

I found the bug (I think) I have a case that work: special marked as air after season x and is showed in top of the season the case that doesn't work is marked as air BEFORE season x manually modifying last case as air AFTER season x-1 resolve the issue..is showed in season x-1 (this is not the best solution because the special logically must showed in top of season x but the problem is clear) can you try? answering your question I tried in web mobile version (I'm at work) and the situation is the same as android mobile.. please refer to the screenshot in next post Edited January 27, 2020 by Bazzu85

I had no issue with Before or After Season / After Episode. @@Luke not sure if it just a display issues but the zero value causes issues if saved. Bazzu85 22 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Yes try nulling out the values. I think you've to update the server/tvdb plugin to not import these data to 0.. If I refresh the metadata the 0 value is imported every time

Bazzu85 22 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) On which fields? I added the check to airs after season. if you have: Airs before season: 9 Airs after season: 0 Airs before episode: 4 in season 9 the special is missing if you have: Airs before season: 9 Airs after season: empty Airs before episode: 4 in season 9 the special is present between episode 3 and 4 the problem is that when you refresh metadata of the special episode the "Airs after season" remain 0. If I delete and re-add the episode the "Airs after season" is empty For this reason the problem is present if you don't fix it.. or maybe, can you tell why refreshing the metadata doesn't clean the "Airs after season" tag? I'm using tvdb 1.0.28.0 (I think last version) to reproduce.. 1. go to a special 2. edit metadata 3. insert the "0" value in airs after (if is not yet present) 4. refresh metadata 5. check if there's "0" value yet to resolve the problem I've to; 1. move the special out of emby library folder 2, scan the library to remove the special 3. move the special in emby library folder 4. scan the library to add the special 5. now the "Airs after season" is empty thx Edited January 29, 2020 by Bazzu85
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 What version of the tvdb plugin? @@Happy2Play are you able to reproduce? Yes post 10. Some of the issue is displaying 0 in edit metadata since hitting save will apply those zeros. Default fetched metadata should be good, but the resaving could be a issue.

Default fetched metadata should be good, but the resaving could be a issue. in my test, if you clean the field, click save and refresh metadata..the field remain clean.. IMHO the server is not touching the field at all in refresh metadata..
Bazzu85 22 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) So when is it touching it? maybe an old version of server/tvdb plugin.. I have a lot of special with this problem.. If this episode are added NOW the problem doesn't occurs.. when I last refreshed metadata (about 1 month ago) the problem occurred.. So I now have many specials with "0" value on airs after.. Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 To me it is only a problem if you re-save metadata and the field has a 0 value.
Bazzu85 22 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 To me it is only a problem if you re-save metadata and the field has a 0 value. Yes... This is the problem.. I don't know why I have many specials (across multiple series) with 0 value.. I don't usually modify these type of metadata.. Maybe a previous bug? By the way I think that emby refreshing the metadata has to clean this value.. Like is done when creating this the first time..
Luke 42078 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 But what if you re-save and clear out the 0 to an empty value?
