Max-n-Jenny 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Yesterday, 12/12/19 6pm ish EST, i downloaded and set up a new server on a Windows 10 64 bit system, (band new system out of the box, with S mode disabled and all updates/patches loaded). After pointing Emby server to music folders i tested that the music files would play back...all good, but album art had not yet populated. Next thing i do is buy an annual premium account via PayPal. I then go the the email account associated with my PayPal account and find the email with premium key, copy the key and go back to the Emby key registration page. This is where things fall apart, the space where the key should be pasted is non-responsive, cursor wont move, can't select the space to type in the key, can't "control v" in the space...nothing. Whole page appears to be locked up but the header section of the page does react to mouse clicks. I back out of the key registration and am logged out of my server account. When attempting to log back in Emby no longer reconizes the user name and password i had just created. Tried doing a password recovery using the email account, Emby has no record of the email account. I spent an hour or two trying every conceivable user name, password, email combo i can think of to no avail. Sooo, now i have a premium key which cost me $55 bucks and no way, that i can see to make use of it. What can I do to resolve this, is there a way to create a new account and apply the premium key? I have created a new server account but don't see any options to do so. This experience is off to a bad start.
chacawaca 109 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 You key isnt lost, its not like plex, premium key is linked to a server and not to a user. you can even reinstall or change your server location and use the same key. You just need to dont exceed your client device limit.
Solution Max-n-Jenny 1 Posted December 14, 2019 Author Solution Posted December 14, 2019 The issue seems to have resolved itself. The Emby server no longer gives an incorrect username or password error at sign in. Don't know why it wasn't recognizing my credentials at first. Adding the premier account key was easy. The key was never "lost" I received the email and all but when trying to sign into the server to add the key it did not accept the account credentials that i had set up about ten minutes earlier. In any event, the whole thing is working at this time. I am now trying to get used to way the server interface works. 1
ebr 16217 Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Hi. It sounds like you may have a browser security plug-in that was interfering with things...
