donjon89 1 Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 I have series in .mkv with the metainfo posted below. Other brand's player plays this automaticaly (dont know if direct or converted) but Emby player doesnt show anything. Emby opens the file, shows the duration but doesnt move from 0:00 pisition. I got it to show after chosing encode 720p(at first try it asked me to buy premium). Might be a low priority bug, but still abit anoying. Emby also kept the setting for other videos that had no problem with playback and displayed them in 720p next time i played them. Automatic behaviour would be nice. Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 25fps [V: English [eng] (h264 high 10 L4.1, yuv420p10le, 1920x1080) [default]] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 192kbps [A: Kubik v Kube v2 [rus] (ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s) [default]] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 224kbps [A: Kubik v Kube v1 [rus] (ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 224 kb/s)] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 192kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s)] Subtitle: UTF-8 [S: Russian [rus] (subrip)] Subtitle: UTF-8 [S: English [eng] (subrip)] Subtitle [S: English [eng] (pgs)] Subtitle [S: Forced Subtitles (auto)] Subtitle: UTF-8 [S: No subtitles] My tv is LG C8, i think it can play all files from usb hdd in integrated player no problem, but i can check if needed. @@SamES

Luke 42077 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Let's see what @@SamES thinks, but it might be as simple as having mpeg4 in mkv direct play.
Solution SamES 1057 Posted December 5, 2019 Solution Posted December 5, 2019 @@Luke, this is a regression in browserdeviceprofile. High10 is not supported on LG http://webostv.developer.lge.com/discover/specifications/supported-media-formats/webos-45/ Be aware that web0s also reports as browser.chrome so you need to exclude !browser.web0s in the same way as safari and iOS are being excluded in the High10 logic. I'll raise a PR 1
donjon89 1 Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 Yeah, just checked it and this file cant be played from USB storage, so youre right that my tv doesnt support it 1
SamES 1057 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Yeah, just checked it and this file cant be played from USB storage, so youre right that my tv doesnt support it Thanks for the update. We'll fix this so that it transcodes automatically. It should make the next client release.
