kbrutlag 2 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Hello - Hoping there are some pointers available to resolve this. I experienced trouble with the server (Windows 10 1909 - headless) a few days ago, and upon checking found that it was waiting for a confirmation to do a C++ install. I allowed this and the system updated to 4.3.0.26. I used it last night (11/25) and everything was good, no trouble browsing the libraries, or playing media. Today, when launching from Roku, it just hung - nothing but the app opening. Tried rebooting the Roku, but nope, still no joy, so I got on a PC to check. VERY slow response in getting into settings, etc. Looks like the system updated to 4.3.0.30 around 9:30 PM yesterday, and today its been unusable. Takes 30+ seconds to get any response on a client (load home screen), selecting to play never buffers, just hangs. I tried rebooting, reinstalling Emby, but nothing working yet. I've attached the logs. Thanks Ken Logs.zip
Solution Luke 42085 Posted November 27, 2019 Solution Posted November 27, 2019 Hi, looks like there's an issue with one of your network shares. Notice how the log is filled with these errors: 2019-11-26 20:42:54.231 Error BaseItem: Error refreshing owned items for \\192.168.166.23\Photos\From Phone\Deb's Pixel\IMG_20170720_160642.jpg That is probably degrading performance of browsing in the user interface. I would resolve that and then I bet this will take care of itself. 1
kbrutlag 2 Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 ***** SOLVED ***** Thanks Luke - I should have dug deeper. Ended up being a bad network cable - once it was replaced all is well again.
