missing option to "Play all from here"

Hi,

 

in the web client and on Android (phone/tablet), there is the option to "play all from here".

That option is a Godsend for the use case of watching family videos: lots of very short videos.

 

Received my Shield yesterday, and I cannot find this option in the Android TV client, making family videos barely watchable on the big screen (so many clicks required, my fingers hurt :-) )

 

Could this be added please?

Hi,

 

in the android TV app I browse to my category (of type 'home videos and photos', if that matters)

I see all the family videos

I click on one.

I see the options to "play" and "add to queue". No option to "Play all from here".

 

I go back, to see all the thumbnails again. I long press on a video. The context menu appears, with the options to:

"play"

"add to queue"

"add to play next"

there is no "play all from here" option either

 

 

On my android phone/tablet, if I long press a video thumbnail, in the context menu that opens there is the option to "play all from here" (the second after "play").

In the web client, I can see the same option if I click on the little ... next to the video thumbnail

A playlist would give it to you.

I would need to add all items to the playlist, one by one.

It isn't ideal but that's how you could do it right now.

 

You can create a playlist fairly quickly with the web app and multi-select.

Yes, it will.  But I'm not sure the player will handle all 1500 files .

If you'd like to test this in beta you should be able to do this with your home video library now.

I've just signed up for the beta, and received an update in the play store (version 1.7.57g)

Nothing changes, though, I do not see anything new when I long press on a video for example.

Do I have to do something else to test it?

Hi I am on version 2.0.48g on Android tv and cannot see the play from here under videos... On my phone running emby for Android it works fine but on my shield and tv no option...

Assuming you're talking about "Home Videos & photos"-type library, AFAIK there's no such option under subfolders in Folders view, only in main library view. @ebr
