The pictures of the movies popping by and names with it tend to help me remember a movie or show I forgot I have now and then. However I cannot find any option on how to adjust the screensaver. I was looking server side for settings, but perhaps it's user based? Also the fire TV seems to not have movie/series slide show but what I guess are google images?

But on the emby screensaver part (i use theater most of the time), are there settings for turning on/off and editing it (parental settings considering the accounts etc)? miniliQuid 94 Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 Bump, Don't think they are available, but I would really be happy to adjust some of the settings of the screensaver. It also on rare occasions gets stuck (won't stop the screensaver even when moving the mouse or clicking on it

Optional choices with which i'm slightly less concerned could be deciding which movies/series/pictures etc. it would flip through (excluding/including specific folders/files) for example.

I have young kids so using the full library is not always appropriate. Think 5 years seeing the screen when the walking dead or predator shows up. Can't this be done by simply limiting the backdrops of the account the way it would with the shows/movies (so if they only get up to PG rating, it only shows those backdrops as well)? Though I guess that might be problematic for people who have their backdrops together rather than with the media files...?

ChrisH84 0 Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Basically, I have two media-PCs running on two TVs: One in the living room and one in the sleeping room. In the sleeping room, light is basically annoying, so if the movie ended while I felt into sleep and the sleeptimer didn't triggered yet, it's nice to have a black screen instead of getting bright pictures of ... whatever. The second point is the TV's technique: on LCD screens, it basically doesn't matter. But on OLEDs, black screens are very useful to expand the lifetime. Even if you don't get burn-in effects because of changing pictures of the screensaver, you'll "consume" lifetime of the OLEDs. It's basically better to turn them of. And a black screen would do exactly this.
