Vidaa apps are html so it would be a packaged version of our hosted web app. 
does it have a feature to bookmark a URL to the Home Screen and launch it like an app?

 If yes then try that with either our hosted web app or your built in web app, and then set the display mode to TV in settings.

They are a strategic partner, meaning there is likely revenue sharing involved. That was one of the key topics back when they had the form to become partner.

So no, it is not that simple that because app X is on the platform then anyone else can just build and app and get published.

Hello,

Longtime listener, first time caller on the Emby airwaves and big thank you for such an amazing product

Forgive me if this has already been considered or just a dumb idea, but a basic google search led me to a company called envue that pride themselves on publishing apps on the Vidaa platform/store for the public. Not sure the cost, however I can only assume it would be cheaper considering the Emby dev team have already done the hard yards creating the app.

If it's costly, consider a GoFundMe/Kickstarter option. When I was waiting for the Samsung app to be created, I definitely would have donated knowing that there was a target. But from the threads at the time it was purely Samsung being difficult, not based on money. Huuuuge thank you for getting that sorted btw

Just an idea that might provide some relief to the long term Hisense/Toshiba TV sufferers

Hisense sales more tv than lg it is almost 27 million TVs per year. It is more than lg. There is a Plex app on hisense.  It is somehow the third constructor in total. And in the middle tv models it is the second constructor behind Samsung. It is still unbelievable there is no app even web based on it.
