Enrique1980 4 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 If I filter the TV shows by "state", those that have been "canceled" (according to "themoviedb.org") appear as "continuing." I think they should appear as "finished."
Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 How about an example, and I don't believe that status comes from TMDB (as a series I just checked is has wrong status in TMDB as they have it as a Returning Series even thought it has ended), it comes from TVDB as far as I am know. As for status there are only 2, continuing or ended.
Enrique1980 4 Posted September 1, 2019 Author Posted September 1, 2019 Canceled: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4482-bewitched Ended: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4658-alf When i filter, this two shows appear in different groups
Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Canceled: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4482-bewitched Ended: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4658-alf When i filter, this two shows appear in different groups So that would suggest that the series metadata (outdated information) does not reflect what the provider site has then as they are both "Ended" series. Does Refreshing the series update the wrong metadata? What series providers do you have enabled? What provider order? https://www.thetvdb.com/series/bewitched https://www.thetvdb.com/series/alf Luke would have to verify but I don't know if Emby uses both sites Status as my example "Instinct" would have conflicting status results. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/72745-instinct https://www.thetvdb.com/series/instinct-2018
Luke 42081 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Internally we only have two states, continuing or ended. Ended could be for any reason.
Enrique1980 4 Posted September 2, 2019 Author Posted September 2, 2019 What series providers do you have enabled? What provider order? 1. themoviedb.org 2. thetvdb.com Does Refreshing the series update the wrong metadata? No, the metadata is acording with the providers database. themoviedb.org.Ended ==> EMBY ended themoviedb.org Other case (Canceled, Returning, etc..) ==> EMBY continuing "Canceled" status in themoviedb must be "ended" in EMBY
Solution Luke 42081 Posted September 2, 2019 Solution Posted September 2, 2019 1. themoviedb.org 2. thetvdb.com No, the metadata is acording with the providers database. themoviedb.org.Ended ==> EMBY ended themoviedb.org Other case (Canceled, Returning, etc..) ==> EMBY continuing "Canceled" status in themoviedb must be "ended" in EMBY Great. we''ll update MovieDb for this. thanks ! 1
