Erik 124 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Hello, Some of the specials come up within the seasons they were aired, and others don't. What is the metadata tag that MB3 is looking for to associate it with a season? I tried the airs before/after seasons, but that didn't seem to do the trick. Also, in MBT sometime the specials that do show are at the top of the list of episodes and sometimes at the bottom, what is the tag that controls that one? Thanks again, Erik Edited June 2, 2014 by Erik
Solution Starkadius 219 Posted June 3, 2014 Solution Posted June 3, 2014 I had this issue as well and I fixed it by going to the Season level for the TV shows and found that the "Season number" field was empty. Once I added the correct season number to this field, the specials began showing up. I did not have this problem before so I am not sure when the "Season number" field was added or became a requirement. I found that the majority of my series did not have this field filled since I usually lock my series once the metadata is how I want them to be so somewhere along the way this new field was added in an update but it was never instantiated (the <SeasonNumber> tag found in season.xml was not created). Hopefully this addresses your problem. 1
Erik 124 Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Thanks, I checked one of my special tv episodes that is in the season 0 folder. And their season metadata says season 0. I tried changing it to season 17. But still won't show in the season 17 season. So I'm not sure what metadata tag is controlling whether a season is shown within a season. I'll post the metadata one that works and one that doesn't if that helps? Maybe @@Luke knows what the tags need to be. Thanks again, Erik
ebr 16184 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 You mis-understood what he was saying. You need to leave the Season Number of your Specials season set to 0. You need to look at all the other seasons in that show and be sure their season number fields are filled in properly. If they aren't then the system doesn't know where to put your specials even if you tell it to because it can't find those season numbers. 1
Erik 124 Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Ahhh, was looking at it the wrong way. Yes, thanks that was it. Only a couple of the seasons actually had a season number. Thanks guys!
jordy 284 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) @@Luke, In MBT, season specials are/can be shown in the correct place - eg inserted into the appropriate season and episode order in which they should be watched. Could we please have this functionality for the " Next up" view in the web client? I'm currently watching Once Upon a Time and using the web client as a remote control for MBT - MBT just sits on the EHS and therefore I'm not using/seeing the season/episode list view and so am missing out on watching the specials in their proper place. Thanks Edit: Sorry Luke, my mistake. Next up does show the specials in the right place - my bad! Edited June 19, 2014 by jordy
