denywinarto 5 Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I group my movies alphabetically, Movie > A > Avengers > avengers.mkv B > Back to the Future > Back to the future.mkv . . . Z > Zoolander> Zoolander, mkv But just this morning i noticed "J" folder is not detected by emby I saw on other similar thread people were having this issue because there's a movie in parent folder, But i have double checked, There's no items in the J folder itself, all are folders. "Hidden items" option in toolbar is also checked already. And the address can be opened from browser just fine. What could be the issue? My first movie in J folder has "." in it, could that be it?
Luke 42079 Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Hi, what are the contents of those subfolders?
denywinarto 5 Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Movie files e.g ; J/John wick 3/john wick.mkv All subfolders have same structure
Luke 42079 Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Are you able to locate any of those movies using the search function?
denywinarto 5 Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Not finding anything, since its not detected in the library
Luke 42079 Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Do you have .ignore files anywhere? that's about all i can think of.
denywinarto 5 Posted August 23, 2019 Author Posted August 23, 2019 Sorry for the late reply luke, my server ssd was fried and i had to wait for a replacement, And to make matters worse i didnt have a backup What is .ignore files? I just noticed something, I had to re-add all my movies on radarr, and it also doesn't detect that folder! What could be the cause? It's not hidden, and i can access the folder without issue Or is there anything wrong with this path? N:\FILM_BARAT\Barat I-S\J Also, i'm using drivepool and it creates .poolpart folders on each drives, i wonder if it has anything to do with this?
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 drivepool will not be the problem - been using it with emby for a couple of years - zero issues .ignore file - if found in a directory by Emby the directory and everything in it will be ignored i suspect a permission/ownership issue for you radarr folder path looks oK as long as you dont have any folders in more than one library
denywinarto 5 Posted August 23, 2019 Author Posted August 23, 2019 (edited) I figured out the cause! i traced the logs in radarr and one of the folder is giving me "could not find part of the file..." When i try to delete it through explorer, it's giving me "this folder is no longer located.." So i tried the method mentioned here https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2014564-this-folder-no-longer-located-in And it scans the "J" folder now, So at least it works in radarr, not sure about emby yet cause it's still scanning my library from scratch. But now another problem appears. "K" folder wont get scanned as well, But in radarr log, there's no same error that i found earlier, FInding the troubled folder is gonna be a pain cause there's over 200 folders Edited August 23, 2019 by denywinarto
Solution PenkethBoy 2068 Posted August 23, 2019 Solution Posted August 23, 2019 so a permissions issue with radar folders not an emby problem then 1
denywinarto 5 Posted August 23, 2019 Author Posted August 23, 2019 so a permissions issue with radar folders not an emby problem then Yes and it has something to do with drivepool i think, And i think emby should ignore this kind of error during scan because it blocks out the rest of the folders Still cant figure out whats wrong with K folder though, i suspect theres a troubled folder / file but its a bit tough to find with over 200 entries, is there any tool to automatically find this sort of error?
