lordCONAN 0 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Similar to other recent posters, I have noticed that my emby server has started to crash when being accessed via the web interface, the iPhone app, the AppleTV app, or pretty much any other method of access either via LAN or over the internet. It seems that I can replicate the crash by navigating to a page where a large number of posters/thumbnails have not loaded, it then stops responding. This means I am unable to browse my media library, and instead are restricted to the suggested pages, and there are only a limited number of items displayed there. I reproduced the crash recently with a movie streaming on my iPhone, while navigating the server on my PC, and the iPhone continued to play while the web page became unresponsive (which leads me to believe the web server is crashing). Like other users, I am able to remote into the server (it runs without a monitor) and manually click exit on the tray icon, and restart the server to fix it. I have tried reinstalling over the top of the current installation, and also uninstalling an reinstalling from scratch, but the problem still persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 22, 2019 Solution Posted July 22, 2019 (edited) Sounds like the other topics, if you remove the CoverArt plugin you do not have this issue correct? Do you use the Indicator Overlay options within the plugin? Edited July 22, 2019 by Happy2Play 1
lordCONAN 0 Posted July 22, 2019 Author Posted July 22, 2019 It looks like that did indeed fix it (sorry I didn't see that answer come up in other threads). Thanks for the quick reply! Also I didn't see the option for Indicator Overlay within the plugin, so I just uninstalled it. Again, thanks for the help.
Luke 42078 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 The upcoming 4.2 release will hopefully harden this a bit and help prevent the crashes, so you could always try Cover Art again with that once available. Thanks. 1
