sfatula 207 Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 So, if I use the box labelled "post processing application", what is the best way to replace the existing emby recording. My script takes any interlaced recording and deinterlaces it. What I would like is for: Chapter markers to still work Bif files to still work and point to the right place Metadata to stay Emby to realize it's now 1080p instead of 1080i Nfo data to not get lost Should I delete existing and simply move the .ts back? Will I lose any data? If I just overlay the .ts, will the others get updated?
Solution maegibbons 1287 Posted July 11, 2019 Solution Posted July 11, 2019 Hi Make an mkv and delete the .ts delete the old bif Emby will recognise it as a new media and recreate the bif and nfo Krs Mark 1
sfatula 207 Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 (edited) This is working, thanks. My script takes antenna 1080i and makes 1080p/60 and looks great. So, now I can not worry about forcing transcoding with bitrate limit to make them play properly with the mpv based Apple TV client. It direct plays perfectly. Happy. Back to auto bitrate. Bwdif sure looks good! My Rtx2060 does the encoding, no need to transcode any recording now. So much better. Edited July 17, 2019 by sfatula
