Returning user having problems

Hi

 

I restarted Emby Server after a considerable break from use.  I was amazed thast it loaded and worked immediately.  I used to use Screenplay app on my LG TV.  Started that up, have hey presto it connected and worked.

 

After about 3/4 hours (of leaving it alone), I came back to screenplay and it couldn't find my server.  On the server I tried to load the web interface, and this too didn't work (multi colour circle spinny thing!)

 

I assumed my server was woefully out of date and so uninstalled Emby and reinstalled the current version (4.1 something) I downloaded this evening.  I cannot get access to configure the service.  I have restarted my PC but still only get the spinny thing when the client is trying to access the config wizard.

 

I have attached installation and server logs, if they will help.

HI, what version were you coming from, do you remember?

Can you try clearing browsing data in your browser and see if this helps you with the startup wizard? Or just try a different browser if you don't want to do that. Thanks.

Old server was 3.6 something or other. Clearing browser history seems to have worked! I now have access to the configuration screen(s)

Thanks for the feedback. This is an issue I have already resolved for the next release , 4.2. I'm referring to uninstalling, re-installing, then having a problem with the startup wizard. @@Happy2Play fyi in case you want to try it out.
