Pog22 52 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 No matter what I try I cannot get EPG to show. I've tried the URL and now I'm using wget to a local file. I've been at it in the last hour of log. Have removed it and the m3u several times, rebooted Emby a few times it just will not show. Can you have a look at my log. It seems to find the EPG, I can see the mapped channels when i go to mapped channels but nothing shows under guide in Live TV
Luke 42077 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? thanks.
Pog22 52 Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? thanks. Apologies, I selected it but forgot to click attach embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Have you made sure that it's valid xml? The error in the log suggests that it might not be.

Luke 42077 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 In the interests of self service, did you check that it's properly formed xml?
Pog22 52 Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 In the interests of self service, did you check that it's properly formed xml? Yes but it looks like it's all on one line
Pog22 52 Posted May 11, 2019 Author Posted May 11, 2019 As you can see the channels are mapped to the epg, they are just not showing in guide
Pog22 52 Posted May 11, 2019 Author Posted May 11, 2019 Right so my EPG XML is working on another person's Emby just fine. What do I do to rectify this? Emby is running in docker on a Linux host
Carlo 4561 Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Just curious but after loading the M3U and XML EPG file, did you map the channels from the M3U to the EPG?
Pog22 52 Posted May 11, 2019 Author Posted May 11, 2019 (edited) Just curious but after loading the M3U and XML EPG file, did you map the channels from the M3U to the EPG? They are from the provider and in the screenshot above you can see they are showing as mapped correctly. The same EPG works on another Emby server This is very strange, it's as if there'a an old blank EPG stuck in Emby if you know what i mean. Without an M3u or EPG added it goes through the motions of downloading an EPG data when I hit refresh that takes a min or 2. Where does Emby cache the EPG so I can manually delete it? Edit. is it cache/xmltv? is it safe to delete the contents and do a refresh or is that storing other info. there is a lot of xml files in there Edited May 11, 2019 by colfin22
kanipek 230 Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 (edited) Yes but it looks like it's all on one line Can you post the xml file? (maybe as a .txt)? From the log it looks like there are issues as it begins to try and load the data for some (maybe each channel) Edited May 11, 2019 by kanipek
Solution Pog22 52 Posted May 11, 2019 Author Solution Posted May 11, 2019 I got this sorted, it was the strangest bug. When I wget the epg with my main sub credentials it's 5.3MB, when I use new credentials I setup to test it's over 7. A change of password fixed it but I'm baffled. Voodoo 1
