Multiple Audio Tracks in Movie

Hello 'm running Emby Version 4.1.1.0

I started backing up some DVD movies that have multiple Audio tracks.   Like 5.1, 6.1, and some Commentary tracks.

When I ripped the DVD I added all the tracks, and was able to label all the tracks.    So when I play back the file in VLC and select the track I see the labels.   So I know if I'm picking 5.1 or one of that commentaries.

When I view it in Emby,   I have the Audio Drop down showing the different tracks.  However I don't know what track is what.. all it shows for the label is "English AAC Stereo"

Is there a way or perhaps in the next update to be able for emby to tell me the Audio track labels I set?

Thanks

Hi there, have you explored advanced library settings?

be sure to have all your needed information, like language, audio format/channels or default/forced streams, also written in your labels, and so cluttering up and make a mockery of your lables, cause the mentioned "advanced" setting will strip all these informations and will just display your label

there's no will shown to get these informations displayed along your labels

Oh thanks for pointing me to the Advanced Tab, I was focusing in my movie Library Settings.

Anyway under the heading of Embedded Track title Display, I changed it to Prefer embedded titles, saved it.   I rescanned my Movie Library and it's still showing the all the Audio Tracks as the same name "English AAC Stereo".

I also deleted the whole movie from within Emby and readded the movie, but still shows the "English AAC Stereo" for the Audio tracks.

Sounds like either that's what it is, or there is no embedded title.

I'll go back and try ripping again.. maybe there was something I missed in Handbrake.

not needed, you can edit the labels with mkvtoolnix without remuxing

MkvToolNix has the further advantage over HandBrake in that it can also name subtitle streams, which for some reason Handbrake cannot yet do.

Thanks, I noticed that when I opened up the video in Mkvtoolnix it clearly showed no labeling for my audio tracks..  Then I found out later on what I didn't select in the ripping process.

Yes I noticed that on the weekend with Handbrake not being able to label the subtitle tracks too.  But that's good to know that I can fix that in mkvtoolnix too.
