Stop Storing Metadata / Images in Media Folders?

If I wanted to stop storing metadata & images in my media folders, is there some way to 'reabsorb' this data into Emby's program folders?

At what point can I start cleaning these files up?

Inversely, if I wanted to one day re-enable this feature (to move my storage to another machine, for instance) is there a way to repopulate these files inside the media folders?

In each case you would have to delete the existing metadata and then refresh everything to re-create it in the new place.

However, I strongly recommend against this.  Storing the metadata with the media really makes a lot of sense and makes re-creating an installation or moving items so much easier.

It's a bit of a logistical nightmare with drive spanning software and SnapRAID, but if it's going to be an undertaking to switch I'll try and work it out.
