Is there a way for a plugin to get at the live tv guide?

Hi.  What I am thinking of is hooking into the live tv guide and adding a context menu when you click on a show in the guide.  Right now for example you see a record button if the show is in the future.  I would like to add another button and action called "Remind" that would have Emby change to that channel at the start of the show.  So the work flow would be:

 

1) Call up the live tv guide and advance into the future to a show you want to watch.

2) Select a show and the context menu opens.  Example: show XYZ that starts at 20:00 on channel 123.

3) Press the Remind button.

4) At 19:59:50 a messagebox opens saying the channel is about to change.

5) At 19:59:55 Emby changes the channel to channel 123.

 

I know it may be a long shot since the bulk of the guide logic seems to be on the client devices, but is there a plugin interface I could use?

A plugin could get guide data but you won't be able to change the UI.
