mauriciomaurente 2 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Greetings everyone! I intend to use Emby only as a server, I do not want him to collect data, just read it and share it. I want to put media data with other applications. It is possible? How to make?
Carlo 4561 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Interesting. You could embed your meta-data right in the files (if of the correct type) and use a local meta agent to pull that info. Other than that you probably want to install Emby, create a test library and turn off all meta-agents for that library. Add some content and see what kind of results you get. Shouldn't take very long to test it out this way.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Greetings everyone! I intend to use Emby only as a server, I do not want him to collect data, just read it and share it. I want to put media data with other applications. It is possible? How to make? Strictly speaking, that's impossible. How can it serve up your media if it doesn't use ffprobe to find out what it is? I'm assuming what you want is for it to not look for metadata. If you already have local metadata it will use it. If you don't you could define the library as the content type Home Videos & Photos. There's no metadata lookup for that type.
Solution Luke 42089 Posted January 26, 2019 Solution Posted January 26, 2019 Just turn off internet metadata providers and I think you will be happy. Thanks. 1
