Active devices (two duplicate devices) keep switching

Emby Server keeps switching between my two Shield systems in the Active Devices list: Shield1 and Shield2. They each have a differently named Kodi, too: Kodi-WK and Kodi-SK. However, Emby server only recognizes one of the two and not two at the same time.

 

Syncs now happen on one of the two systems (random) and without reboot the other one doesn't sync. How do I get Emby server to display both devices at the same time instead of having it switch?

Yes they are two physical Shield and only one shows up (I guess the one that was active latest).

My guess would be Emby is not seeing them as separate devices then.  I don't know anything about the Shield but are you able to put a name on each device?  Or at least one of them.

As I mentioned they are named Shield1 and Shield2, with Kodi's being named Kodi-WK and Kodi-SK

did you setup the second shield/kodi from a backup of the first? Guess both Emby for Kodi installations got the same device ID, try creating a new one in the emby for kodi settings.

Generate a new device id on one of your Kodi, via Emby for Kodi addon settings > advanced. Then restart Kodi.

I'll try and look for it when I'm back but couldn't find it in the add-on beta yesterday.

Found it Generated a new ID and rebooted and it seems to work fine now, thanks
