Moving from metabrowser to Emby tagger

Hi,

 

I’ve finally accepted that metabrowser is dead so I’ve been experimenting with the built-in Emby tagger.

 

I’m very impressed with the ease and features the Emby tagger provides but I’ve noticed that when I open the same tagged movie nfo in another program eg metabrowser, media centre master etc, no metadata is being read or displayed.

 

Does Emby create the nfo’s in a proprietary format that only Emby can read?

 

Is it also possible to physically download trailers to the movie folder using Emby tagger?

The tagged doesn’t download trailers, and nfo’s are not proprietary. Did you select to store metadata with the media and to create nfo’s?

Right, for nfos we have adopted Kodi's format.

Thank you for confirming nfo format. I hadn’t changed the setting within metabrowser which was still searching for xml files. All works as expected now.
