Cannot Remove Some Library Folders

Hello,

I initially added two library folders called "Recorded Movies" and "Recorded Shows".  I supplied them with a path; however they do not display any information or videos under them.  I set the path to one folder higher for the "Recordings" library, and everything works fine there.  Because of this, I tried to remove the "Recorded Movies" and Recorded Shows" library, but whenever I reboot they reappear with the path that I had set, but still nothing shows up under them.  I would like to either remove these libraries or get them to work so that they show the videos under the supplied paths.  I have attached the log where I deleted the folders.

I am running Emby Server for Linux, version 3.5.3.0.

Hi, what have you specified for each of the three paths in dvr settings?

Hi Luke,

Sorry I took so long to respond to this post.  Here are the 3 paths that I have specified:

Default Recording Path: /mnt/DVR/recordings

Movie Recording Path: /mnt/DVR/recordings/movies

Series Recording Path: /mnt/DVR/recordings/shows

I also noticed that under the Home Screen customization page, there is a library ordering section that contains the Recorded Movies and Recorded shows libraries, and I cannot seem to remove them from there.

I figured I would post here since I think I was able to resolve this issue.  I believe the problem was caused by the fact that the movies and shows recording directories were under the top level recordings directory.  I read in other forums that people have had issues with duplicating paths among multiple libraries, so I think that is effectively what happened here.  I moved the movies and shows directories to the same level as my recordings directory, and I am now able to see files in those libraries.

I also created a soft link in the recordings directory back to both the movies and shows directories, and the Recordings library also displays movies and shows folders when I view them on any Emby client.  I am now able to see recorded movies and recorded shows in their respective libraries, and under the Recordings library I see folders for both the recorded movies and shows folders as well.

I wanted to ask others in this forum if they think there would be any issues or side effects of creating those soft links in the Recordings directory that point back to the other libraries.  Thanks!

Thanks for the info. yes I think we need to make the recording configuration path settings easier.

Thanks for the response Luke.  Just FYI, I don't think the soft link was a good idea, after I did it I could not get into my server dashboard, I'm wondering if there was some kind of recursion or something going on the screwed with the database.  Anyway I got rid of the links.
