Ive been a Plex user for many years and just found out about Emby and thought i'd give it a try.  I installed on my Wndows10 computer but when i attempt to create a library, my Synollogy NAS is not found. Ive tried to enter the full UNC and it doesnt work either. This is the same path used by my plex server and the folder is mounted so not sure why it cant be found. Any ideas??  See attachs,

also, i didnt see an option to choose where to install the server is it only installable on the boot drive or did i just miss it?

Hi, can you try it by IP address?

It does not appear you input the network path in the Folder field in the image above.  Network is there.

That field should contain the UNC path.

Oh geez.. well i thought it was supposed to go in the Optional field.. thanks. its working now.

Anything on my other question regarding install folder?

Glad to help, I just personally followed the default server install and paid no attention to a different location.  I did opt to use NFO files and store media with the media files, I also have all my media in separate folders (i.e. media - movies - movienameforfolder - movienameforfile, media - tv shows - showtitle - season # - showtitle - s00e00 - episodetitle)

This thing is just smokin fast on my w10 box but im gonna just install it on my Nvidia Shield Pro and see how it goes - thats also my Plex server.  i pretty much have mine setup the same for plex so it found everything with no problem. except NFO files, i will have to look that up to see what that does for me. But  i already love the ability to edit meta including actor names etc.. and i noticed some plugins including the backup. I noticed themes available for Windows Media Center but is there a way to skin other versions like Android TV?

Thanks for the feedback. Many apps such as Android TV have theme settings built-in, so you may want to check out the different themes that are available.
