mypanasonic 8 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 hi luke recently my server stopped functioning after {/ var directory} got full to 100% capacity as the cache dir was to large i have since moved the directory to /media/storagehdd/Emby_Lib which has 12TB of storage i have added the new location as above and given permissions but still have a blank canvass so to speak in metadata and images for movies, tv-shows, people and music etc. i have re-scanned the library contents with all 3 selections but and still coming up with no cached data
Luke 42079 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Hi, there's nothing you need to do to rebuild it. As the server needs to cache files, it will create files under that folder. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 What if you go to the parent library folder and select refresh metadata-replace all metadata- and select replace images?
mypanasonic 8 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 What if you go to the parent library folder and select refresh metadata-replace all metadata- and select replace images? hi i have tried all 3 * scan for new and updated files * search for missing metadata * replace all metadata all have given zero results even with "replace existing box" ticked
mypanasonic 8 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 also is it possible to move the full data database to my storage drive ? as it would give me a bit more security for backup of the server and not on the actual root of the operating system
Solution mypanasonic 8 Posted October 19, 2018 Author Solution Posted October 19, 2018 got it working now turns out even after making the cache folder recursive 777 i still had to give full permissions on each individual folder inside the directory tree before the cache could be read and written too 1
