How to disable info bar/ OSD when starting playback?

I would like to disable the playback information that appears at the bottom of the screen every time I start playing a movie or video (and which automatically disappears after a few seconds. In lther words, I don't want it to show up in the first place, I just want the film to start playing, period.

 

Is it possible to achieve this?

 

Also, I don't want emby to display anything while I navigate through Emby libraries on my phone (currently, it shows which folder I'm currently looking at in the app). I just want it to show the video when I hit play but to otherwise be "quiet".

 

I am running Emby server on an Ubuntu machine and casting to a Chromecast.

OK the OP was six years ago and the feature did not exist back then "not at this time." I am a new Emby user and it looks like after all this time Emby still has no way to eliminate/disable/prevent the info bar at the bottom of the screen? If I wanted Emby to look like Netflix on my Apple TV... I wouldn't have switched from Plex.

Hi.  Exactly what info bar are we talking about?  Our interface has changed greatly since 2018.  Can you show a screenshot?
