tomnjerry74 97 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 I normally use cinema mode with my own trailers. I know the correct structure and labeling of the trailers (movie.mkv + movie-trailer.mov) and I believe that is not relevant to this issue. I say this because it was working perfectly before; only until I changed my library location for my movies has it consistently given me this error: To clarify, this error occurs at random - only for trailers - before the movie. Sometimes it may give this error and yet play the same trailer next time I try without a problem. I have it set to play 3, and most of the time the playback error occurs for 2 out of the 3. I have tried restarting the server / disabling and reenabling cinema mode. Is there some cache somewhere that needs to be cleared? Thank you to anyone that responds

ebr 16187 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Looks like your server is unable to start ffmpeg. Have you customized or removed it from the installation?

I had to look up exactly what you were talking about because I wasn't even sure what ffmpeg was. When I check the log it says ffmpeg should be here: C:\Users\me\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\ffmpeg.exe So I went to that location and checked to make sure. I think I've found the problem. The log is saying the trailers don't exist. This is because it is still set to "F:\Video\...", even though I have since changed my movies to "F:\Movies\..." I'm not sure why the server is still looking in the old location for the trailers, because I have officially changed my library directories; I didn't only change the actual folder name on the hard drive. Movies play fine. Here a log for a trailer that works. Here is a log for a trailer that gives the error. Edited December 27, 2020 by tomnjerry74
