When i try to update to the latest server its not getting the right version. My server is configured as beta and when i go follow the instructions which say

  • current version : Version 3.0.5192.19560
  •
A new version of Media Browser Server is available!

Version 3.0.5209.29215 is now available for download.
  •
Please shutdown the server and update manually.

I Stop the service and click on the "update manually" download the setup.exe and run it and i get:

I start the server and its still says

I run as a service also and noticed the same splash screen with the old version when upgrading, but when all was done I got the new version. I also noticed it started the icon for some reason (maybe because I shutdown the server before). But when I closed the icon and started the service manually and then checked the dashboard it shows I have the correct version

You will have to start it up as the normal tray app, let it update, and then shut it down and start the service again because the website is always going to install the release version now.

Ahh, thanks. Well it worked as it's supposed to then. I'm good.

Should maybe make a sticky to inform people :). Worked like a charm :)

We're adding a beta download link to the website instead.
