Phorn 1 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) I've added a TV show to the library, however even when the folders are correctly named, the scan will not automatically identify the show, forcing me to Identify all the season folders manually. Specifically it's the show Survivor and I have /Survivor .../Season 1 .../Season 2 and so on and in the library, it just lists the folders and scanning won't identify the show. Is it not supposed to do this? Wouldn't be a big deal if I could manually select multiple items to identify at once Edit: went ahead and just Identified all of them manually. But now all of the seasons are just labeled "survivor" on the series page instead of Season # Is this typical or might I be doing something wrong? Edited July 29, 2018 by Phorn
Phorn 1 Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 /TV .../Survivor ....../Season 1 However the library is only just for Survivor, so I selected the Survivor folder and not the TV folder. Is that the problem? Does the Survivor dir need to be a subdir of the Library?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2018 Solution Posted July 30, 2018 Does the Survivor dir need to be a subdir of the Library? Yes that is correct. 1
Phorn 1 Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Ah I see What if I only want to share 1 show with a user and not the whole TV library Seems the only option is to have to move that 1 show's files to a different folder than the rest of the shows? Might it be worthwhile to add a feature to use the selected folder as the series? Or be able to share on a series basis and not just by libraries? Anyways, thanks though
Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I agree it's something we should get supported and make sure it works. If you only want that one show to be imported then currently you'd have to either move the folder or use .ignore files.
