pt1xoom 12 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) I'm sorry if this has already been addressed. I recently was given an older HDHomerun, the HDHR-US. I have it connected to the server fine, but I can't get it to play over the Roku. The error message on the Roku is There was an error processing the request. On the dashboard, it show that the stream is directly playing. I thought that the Rokus were not able to play that stream? Is there a setting I'm missing? I haven't set up a guide. Is that the problem? Edited June 11, 2018 by pt1xoom
Luke 42078 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Hi there, can we please look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
pt1xoom 12 Posted June 11, 2018 Author Posted June 11, 2018 Sorry about that. This morning, I tested live tv via the web client. I am only getting the circle. I do not see a visible error. Please see attached server log.
ebr 16184 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 So the streams will not play in the web app either?
pt1xoom 12 Posted June 11, 2018 Author Posted June 11, 2018 Right, not for me. The HDHR is working through their windows app. I only have one of the tuners configured and connected right now. Maybe that is the issue?
Solution pt1xoom 12 Posted June 12, 2018 Author Solution Posted June 12, 2018 I seemed to have fixed the problem. I wanted to report back on what I found. My server is a Windows 2012 R2. I did not install the software for the HDHR on the server. After I installed the setup software on the server, I am able to stream live TV to web client and Roku. I also rebooted the server. Thank you for your help. 1
