Says MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe cannot be found...

Tried reinstalling and that didn't fix it.

How do I go about getting my background service running again?

Posted (edited)

I stay up-to-date so whatever the last version was, 3.3.1.0 I believe... I don't use the beta versions and it worked fine until I updated to 3.4.0.0 just a hour ago.

But thank you for that link, I will use that to get it working again!

How come the service was removed?

It's just a little trickier with the technology that newer versions of the server are being built with. NSSM is a nice little utility that can turn any application into a windows service, so using that allows us to focus our efforts on media management which is where we really want to be.

I see, then I agree, that program was pretty easy to use so I see no problem in focusing on other features! :)

Probably not the place to suggest features but I don't post much so just a couple suggestions:

- Under Movies, have a Latest Releases tab at the top (similar to going to All Movies, sorting by Date Added, Descending) right now it only lists the 18 latest movies, I wish it would keep scrolling through them

- Limit Connections per user (shouldn't have to but darn it, lol)

Otherwise, amazing work on this media server, I love how it's grown over the years!
