Starlionblue 82 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Loving the Podcast plugin. Is there any way to block users from it? I don't want my kids getting access.
Solution ebr 16169 Posted March 24, 2014 Solution Posted March 24, 2014 Uncheck here for the users you don't want to have access.
Starlionblue 82 Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Thanks ebr. I'm kicking myself now.
caesay 1 Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 It looks like this is no longer possible? In the "Access" tab of a user page, you can configure the access to individual libraries but Podcasts is not listed. How can I achieve something similar? Would rather avoid having to spin up a second instance of Emby or use some other software for podcasts.

I have the Podcasts plugin installed and some feeds added. I see the Podcasts item in the "My Media" sidebar, and can play podcasts fine. In the user's "Home Screen" settings, I can see the Podcasts listed, and can re-order it amongst the other libraries or remove it from the home screen. When I go to server admin, in the "Emby Server > Library" section, Podcasts is not listed. When I go to "Emby Server > Users > SomeUser" there is no mention of Podcasts, not in any of the tabs including the "Access" tab. I disable the "Enable access to all libraries" option, and all the libraries are listed, even playlists are listed, but Podcasts are not listed. caesay 1 Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 OK, I've found it. It's no longer in the same sections as the libraries, as shown in the original screenshot. It's now in "Channel Access" - so need to disable the "Channel Access > All" toggle, and can then disable Podcasts. 1
