You don't need it.

 

Let Emby do all the metadata fetching.

I can totally agree! 

 

I've had issues when I let Radarr collect metadata and then handed it over to Emby. Emby deals with the metadata collection far better.

Still need the API key for sending Emby notifications.  But I also agree, disable metadata fetching in Radarr (and Sonarr)

Why would you send notifications ??

 

Emby will detect new media.

Emby will detect new media.

Because it's an available feature that requires a api key to use, I figured I would share the information for completeness. I don't personally use it since both *arr have built in notification support for fetch/download/failure reporting.

Emby will detect new media.

I just assumed that my library would be updated faster if Radarr told Emby that it was finished and that would kick off a library scan. I never bothered to look into it further, test it, nor ask the question.

If you have Real Time Monitoring enabled, then Emby will discover new files within about a minute.

 

It does depend on your OS though.
