40sec + delay when pressing play on video for first time.

Emby has been working perfectly for long time for me, until I had to reset windows 10 to fix a windows update problem. I've installed emby theater back on the computer. But i now have a problem when I press play on a movie or tv show, the loading circle appears and i count 40+ seconds until the video loads. Thou If i stop the video then play it, or play one i watched earlier it works ok. I'm not sure if I had a setting not correct.

I have reinstalled codecs but didn't help.

Hi, does this happen the first time with each video? Or only once after starting up the app?

Each Video I start to play for first time when opened the app. I feel like its downloading some of the video to the HD or encoding or something.

What you could try to do is share your files over your network in Windows, then go into Emby library setup and for each folder specify the "optional network path". After doing this, Emby Theater will play the files directly over the LAN rather than via Emby Server. This may help them startup a bit quicker. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I've managed to fix it, thanks to your tip.

Windows network was set to public, Once i changed it to private, it fixed the issue.
