It's become impossible to make changes to my display settings: mypreferencesdisplay.html

I can make apparent on screen changes, but they don't "Take".

Hi, can you give an example? why do you feel they're locked?

I'm trying to change the theme color and it's stuck where I've had it the last few days.  Can't change from dark to light.  Anytime I re-enter the page, the settings are what they WERE, not what I changed them to.

Make sense?

which theme setting are you changing? you do see there are two theme settings, right?

It's the old dog syndrome again.  I never know what to do when I'm done entering data on a page that has no "save" button.  I've learned that it doesn't matter as the info is automatically saved and changed as you exit the page.

In this case, as my attempts to change the color settings (yes, on both or one at a time) became more frequent I was simply tried refreshing the page after I made my new choice(s).

It doesn't work that way, obviously.

Just now, 5 minutes ago, I discovered the page-back arrow DOES save the changes.

Sorry for wasting your time again, Luke...

Thanks for the feedback.

It's back.  Theme color settings changes from VERY DARK to anything else only last as long as the browser is open.  The changes dissappear each time I close then re-open Emby.

@@kkorotev @@Luke This may be a result of some of the display settings being saved in cookies.  If your browser is set to delete cookies upon exit, you will have to change the theme settings every time you load emby in a new browser session (at least that is my experience with IE).  For me the library view theme, enable backdrops, enable theme songs, enable theme videos settings do not stick between sessions, but for some reason the dashboard theme setting does.

Yes!  Thanks for getting me on the right track DarWun.  As I am using Chrome, with CCleaner, I can allow chrome to delete cookies on exit as long as CCleaner is set to protect "emby.media" from deletion.
