Problem to play MPEG2 videos

Bonjour,

Hello,

I installed an emby server on my PC (Windows 7 / Intel Core i7).

I have a lot of videos encoded in MPEG2 (* .mpg).

When I access this type of video from an Android tablet with the client emby, reading is choppy.

Is there a server setting for smooth playback?

Is it possible to set the server to transcode MPEG2 to H264
Thank you in advance for your advice.

I think the MPEG2 stream is decoded by the Android Emby client.

Is'nt it ?

is it possible to force the server to transcode MPEG2 video to H264 stream ?

The server will only transcode if the playback device doesn't support the media.  If you're seeing a playback issue you need to include the details Luke has requested.

Hello,

Deathsquirrel answered my question. Now if I watch the video on a Chromecast terminal the MPEG2 stream is transcoded by the server.
Thanks for your help.
