Direct channel tuning for LiveTV on Shield?

Installed a Shield last night and was really impressed by it, now I know why it is always recommend as the best device for playback.

 

However, navigating LiveTV is a bit cumbersome because our cable provider (Verizon) spreads things out all over the place in the guide.  So changing channels involved scrolling through many pages of guide in order to switch to a different channel.

 

Any way to directly change a channel, from say 512 to 70 directly?  I have older Windows systems with MCE remotesor keyboards, was trying to streamline things with the Shield though for WAF reasons

Hi. In the guide, there is a button in the top right group of buttons that will bring up a number pad to allow you to enter a channel number directly.

 

Also, you can have the guide sort by last viewed so, if you watch the same channels usually, then those will end up at the top of your listing.

Don't know why I didn't see that, but I was sure there had to be a better way than what I was doing.
