Metadata Manager - Question

Shouldn't I be able to see a list of all my movies somewhere in the Metadata Manager?

I am using collections (created) in Emby so I have a collections "tab? menu?"

Under "My-Movies" I see a list of my collections again...

I can see them all individually under my-movies in what ever client app I use - group movies into collections is not checked (even toggled it to make sure)

Is this normal behavior in the metadata manager?

Thanks!

Are you sure the collection is created by Emby as here is a example of one created by Emby with "group movies into collections" checked and unchecked.

Ungrouped

**I personally use the legacy/nested folder format with collection.xml in collection folder and Emby always has grouped not matter the group setting.  This is normal if this is your structure.

I am sure. I created each and every one of the 134 collections in Emby.

I did previously use the legacy method you mention. I switched over quite awhile ago.

I do however use a nested folder structure - films\action\movie etc... Perhaps that is why?

Here you go. Tried to paste them in here but it wouldn't post so I had to attach.

As an aside, instructions for putting images inline in your messages are here: How to Create & Post a Screenshot.  (there's a little image button in the editor tool bar).

so what exactly is the problem? that appears to match your folders.

I don't know if there is a problem.

I just asked the question based on what I thought I should be seeing there - which was a list of all the movies I have like the "All" selection in the web app.

But as @@Happy2Play mentioned - I use a nested folder structure so I think it is normal behavior, not what I expected, hence the question - but normal. If I did not have nested folders I would expect to see all 2000+ movies listed under My-Movies.

I believe this has been answered/confirmed as normal for me.
