Is there a way to get the channel icons into the guide for emby?

I currently use a pretty simple script to download tv guide information and such and i have tried using the option that says it downloads the icons but i dont see them in emby, I dont know if the xml isnt formatted properly for this or if this is simply a feature not supported by emby. Any information is of help

I am sure you will need more information to help also so just let me know what you need to help me

Yes this is already supported if your guide data includes the icons. Schedules direct for example generally has icons.

Ahh good to know, the script i am using probably doesnt have it formatted properly then.

It is also possible to add/change them manually via the web app ->channels->choose a channel "edit images" a bit complicated if you have a lot of channels but definitely worth it IMO. Schedules direct logos are a bit dark for most of the themes I have used.

Thank you, lol dont think i will be doing that given how many channels it would involve. Maybe i will join SD again will see if i can finagle the script i have to work properly.

I hear you. I actually began with just a few that were really bad. Eventually they were all done.

 

I do believe I have read here that adding/changing logos will be re-worked improved at some point as the Dev's get to it. So there is that to hope for.
