Recorded TV Folder Wrong

Something very weird happened following the most recent beta server update. i'm now on 3.2.40.6. following the update emby did a library scan.

 

Subsequent to that my recorded tv library is now pointed at a completely different folder. if i look at the items in recorded tv they are in \\mediaserver\mptv\etc. this is a folder on a completely different windows machine, it is not part of any of the libraries i have set up on this install. this install may have once pointed to that folder as one of a number of recorded tv folders but not for 6 months or so.

 

the live tv page on this install confirms that \\diskstation\media\media\iptv is the correct recording folder, the library page also confirm this as the recorded tv library, there is also a second recordings library which is correct, this is pointed at \\diskstation\media\media\temptv.

 

i cannot see where emby is getting the idea it should be looking at \\mediaserver\mptv\ to fix it.

Actually its even better than that, the media items its reporting dont actually exist anymore, they were series recordings and have been deleted several months ago. example:

the file isnt even there!!!

I'm not sure. it sounds like maybe you restored an old config file by accident or something along those lines. that's really the only thing i can think of.

No, that’s not what happened this back up would need to be 6 months old too. Plus no restores have been done.

 

Plus more importantly, how can I fix this? Where can I find the file that controls this?

go to live tv -> settings and configure your recording paths. also check the library folders in emby library setup. if the issue remains, try removing any live tv plugins to see if it might be coming from there. thanks.

i did confirm this all above, except plugins and no i don't have any setup currently.

 

the default recording path points at \\diskstation\media\media\iptv

the recordings library points at the same location, i tried removing it and emby has correctly added it back using the recording path.

\\mediaserver\mptv is not present in any other emby libraries.

moreover, the items being shown in the recordings do not actually exist!

 

should i just delete the library.db? i have metadata stored with the media.

seems to be fixed now
