Performance and spinning circle

I love emby, and i really like being able to delet items after I watch them.   But recently, it has become unbearable to watch anything.

I watch videos on my TV using the roku emby app.   My connection speed it is using the 5 gighz wireless between the server and roku device.   (same network and vlan)

the server machine has 12 gig ram and 8 cpus @ 2.4 ghz

What I am seeing is that shortly after starting play back, I will get the spinning green circle for a little bit, then playing will resume...after about 30 seconds, it will do it again and stay there until I either back out of playing, or hit pause.    If I hit pause after it resumes the first time, and let it sit for a few min, I can hit play and watch maybe 10 to 15 min of whatever i'm watching, before it pauses again.

I have attached the log file for the last show I tried to watch.   over 100 FPS should be good right?

I have transcoding threadcount set to auto

H264 encoding preset set to veryfast

audio boost set at 2

I am running 3.2.36.0

any ideas?

Hi there, please try installing from the website on top of your existing version. Please let us know if that helps. t hanks.

I will try and give an update tomorrow.

well, installing over top of the existing install did seem to help.   The odd thing is, even before I did that, my emby said it was up to date and after installing over top, things do look a bit different.   and judging by version number, it really wasn't up to date
