Metadata in wrong Language

Recently I had issues where all the metadata for actors had disappeared as well as most of their pictures.  After doing some research on the forums I found a fix where you Rescan you Library and it replaces the missing information.  This worked pretty well but has had a side effect.  I am now having movies showing up with different language titles, metadata, genres, etc.

For example, Captain America: Civil War now shows in Romanian.  I can clear out the data, identify the movie and refresh the metadata and it keeps coming back in Romanian.  Other movies have different languages associated with them (French, Russian, Italian).  I have checked the metadata language in server manager and it's set on English.

hi @@Kernel32, there probably is a custom language specified on captain america, or on a parent folder. i would check that in the metadata manager. thanks.

That was it.  I didn't even realize you could set that option on a movie by movie basis.

The only mystery now is how that got set in the first place.

Thanks for your help.

Perhaps some other tool created the nfo file? I think it is possible that some other tools might be using the language field for a different purpose, for example to denote the original language of the media.
