cbauer25 5 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 A month or two ago I noticed movies that used to work without issue, suddenly freezing for several seconds before catching back up. It seems to coincide with "loud" moments on DTS movies. Realize that FireTV doesn't support DTS but since this was working previously wondering if something has changed?

Luke 42078 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 As a test, can you try installing from the website on top of your existing installation? Thanks !
cbauer25 5 Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 Installed from the website and still have same behavior.
ebr 16177 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 The device is probably bogging down on the overall bitrate of the content. It looks like the video bitrate on this item is about 25Mb/s. The published specs on the device only say it supports up to 21 and that's what our "Auto" setting should be limiting you to. What is the bitrate setting in the app?
Solution cbauer25 5 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Solution Posted November 15, 2017 Think we found it. Device is set to Auto. I switched it to 21 and that fixed the problem. 1
cbauer25 5 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 No problem...thanks for the help. I'd have never thought about that setting.
