Hi all.

I'm new to Emby.

I startet out placing metadata in the media folder.

But just got a new dedicatet 500GB SSD, where I want to store the metadata.

To the question.

Dos anyone have a easy way to remove the metadata from the media folders ?

or a script that can be used.

Would hate to manually delete it from 3000+ movies, 250+ tv shows and music folders.

i leave it in both locations e.g on my ssd with location enabled and in media folder also using media centre master (total space used is small). This way dlna and other devices get some bling/info

Why not just point your file explorer to the root library folder and do a search for the metadata extension(s), then select all and delete?

I recommend against this.  Keep it where it use and use the SSD for your Emby cache drive.  Emby will cache the metadata on the SSD and serve metadata requests from the cache but you'll still have a copy of that data with your media in case the cache ever needs rebuilt.  Otherwise you'll have to pull from the internet. if the cache needs rebuilt for any reason.
