3.2.32; Is a movie's Sort Title supposed to survive "Refresh metadata"?

Hi,

 

A movie's Sort Title is not deleted when the movie's metadata is refreshed (refresh mode: "replace all metadata")

 

Is this the intended behaviour?

And in case yes, why? It's also just metadata like e.g. the Title, which is reset to it's original value.

one reason - i would not want data i had entered manually to disappear to refresh online data that may have changed

Hm, if there is no Lock-checkbox for it, then I'd expect it to disappear on a refresh.

well to be fair it is inconsistent i have content where i add in extra info - like actors (family members etc) (with metadata providers turned off) - if you then refresh the metadata by mistake then they will get whipped - not tried locking them but i have a recollection others have had problems with that in the past - but that might have changed.

If there is nothing external to replace it with then it probably will not be touched.  If the external data (e.g. an nfo file) had the sort title defined in it, then I imagine it would be replaced.
