Direct Play for .ts (transport stream) not working

I have recorded a .ts container with a h.264 video and ac3 as audio. 

As I want to play this with my FireTV I have seen that video will be transcoded instead of playing directly.

 

Is there something I can configure that direct play is possible with that device ?

Yes. .ts are always remuxed now because seeking is unreliable within a .ts container

Is this Live TV that you have recorded with Emby?  Or was it from another application?

 

I've set my settings in Live TV to automatically convert to MKV while preserving original audio/video.

 

Seems to be better than transcoding while streaming.

Thanks for the answers! I have recorded the .ts files via my Enigma2 receiver - so not via Live TV - so I assume transcoding is normal. 

Is there a possibility to auto convert these files to MKV via emby ?
