meatchunks 2 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Hello, quick question...is there a way to restrict users from accessing the admin settings? ie: Authenticating with the server with their username and password? Here is my current setup... Emby server with SSL enabled (port 8921 then forwarded to 8096 internal, no issues here), and my ddns name is setup. When a user goes to the DDNS address, they are automatically logged in and can access all the admin settings.

Happy2Play 9781 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Do you have a account that they are accessing that does not have a password (ie the admin account)?
meatchunks 2 Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 Nice thanks guys. Found it under user settings and made the default admin account hidden from login, and then added a password to it. 1

Luke 42080 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Sounds like you're giving everyone the admin account instead of creating separate users?
meatchunks 2 Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 Sounds like you're giving everyone the admin account instead of creating separate users? No, not my intent. They are all separate users, but they were able to see and login with the default admin account (until I 'hid' it and password protected it). 1
