H/W transcoding artifacts

Hi,

 

I'm running Emby on a 916+. H/W transcoding works almost fine, but sometimes, especially in case of rapid changes in scenery there is a big amount of blockyness which ruins the picture. I know it's experimental, but could you please have a look at it?

A higher bitrate makes the problem appear a little less prominent and makes movies watchable. But of course a higher bitrate isn't always possible.

Thank you, I didn't notice. Currently the 916+ can do one h265 stream in software, fortunately. This is what I'm using at the moment.

 

Edit: New version installed, artefacts still present.

For anyone finding this thread: The issue is fixed through va-api component updates in release 3.2.35.0-3 and up.
