SHill 1 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 So the other day Emby lost my media collection on my NAS which comprises series box sets. A recurrent issue but it hadn't happened for a while. Easily solved by refreshing my "TV Series" library folder - a hassle but after an hour or so of scanning it is all back. This time, however, it has lost the images for all the episodes. I have specific screenshots for each episode saved in the metadata folder within each series. A structure that has worked for for ages. On checking the nfo files the artwork tag shows <art />. Going into the episode and manually uploading the image through the Emby library browser works fine and the image sticks with the nfo file artwork tag pointing to the relevant image in the metadata folder. Manually amending the nfo file to point the artwork tag to the relevant image in the metadata folder, however, does not work (it did previously) and refreshing removes the manual changes to the nfo file back to <art />. I have so many boxsets that manually uploading the images will take forever, hence trying to find a batch fix amending the nfo files. I tried deleting the library.db and refreshing but same issue. The images are stored correctly in the metadata folder but not picked up unless manually uploaded. Any thoughts and suggestions gratefully accepted. Thanks S
SHill 1 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 I was following the recommended folder structure for seasons, including a folder titled metadata to contain the episode images. I probably haven't explained it that well! Screenshot attached . Thanks
Happy2Play 9785 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 @@Luke Didn't we determine that episode sub-folder were not supported and did not display properly? Also is (Series-Season) accepted for seasons?
Solution Luke 42086 Posted July 15, 2017 Solution Posted July 15, 2017 No, his folders look ok. He needs the XML metadata plugin in order to support the old metadata subfolders. 1
SHill 1 Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Ah you beautiful people! Thank you the XML metadata plugin worked. Thanks
