Coverart Image not correct, not getting refreshed with scan either

Using web browser, I noticed some of my movie titles don't show the correct coverart for the movies. I have made sure these folder.jpg files are saved next to the movie files inside the movie folders.

Here are some potential reason:

1. Maybe folder.jpg files should be folder.png?

2. Because they are not 1000x1500 in dimensions?

3. Maybe because I have manually changed the "Primary" image using "Edit Images" command, so somehow these specific titles are stuck with those selected by Emby?

I already made the sure metadata fields are not locked under "Enabled Fileds".

What could be the source of the problem? It's driving me crazy not being to show my own choice of coverart for the covers.

The other possibility is, I didn't check "Save artwork and metadata into media folders" when I did the "Primary" image change before, so now the old image is probably saved somewhere on the server so now Emby is stuck with that image even though I have a new image called folder.jpg inside the media folder.

If this is the case, how do I get Emby to get rid of the old images and use the ones inside media folders?

Do you have a poster.ext image file in the directory as well?

Nope, no poster.ext files. I made sure all hidden files are shown.

Did you run a library scan after changing the folders? can you go over a specific example, showing us the files that exist along with what you are seeing? thanks !

Based on your question, I started studying every single files inside the folders, and found that some folders have something called the .tbn files which are essentially image files used by XBMC.

After I deleted all of them, Emby is able to show the folder.jpg properly now :)

Thanks for asking me to check those!
