Emby as Service: Restart server remotely (not shutdown)

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to restart the server when running Emby as a service on a true server.  I run it on a WSE2012R2 server by using the Emby Service and nobody logged into server.  I've found the only way to restart the Emby Server is to RDP into my Windows server, go into services.msc, and stop and start the Emby Service.  All I see on the web app dashboard is the ability to shutdown, which of course means I can no longer connect via the web app and have to RDP into my server.

Thanks @@d00zah!  I'm wondering, however, the sc commands only work when the client and server share a discrete domain.  As a simple home networking setup I didn't bother with clients logging into the server domain, and instead share media via DLNA/UPNP and access stuff on my server with windows shares using a server username under windows permissions.

I tried sc \\192.168.1.3 stop "Emby Server" and it returned the error 5 - Access is denied.  I was truly hoping for an "restart" button integrated into the Emby dashboard.

Those kinds of issues are exactly why there isn't one :).

It is something we'd like to solve but, until we can come up with a completely reliable way to do it, we have it removed for now.

There is, if you run with the tray icon instead of the windows service.

Look up "pc monitor manager" used to be free and still might. You can restart services with it and much more. Has mobile apps as well

I believe pulseway and pc monitor manager are one and the same. With pulseway being the new name. Also I use Pulseway and and confirm that it can stop, Start, bed restart the service. I run my Emby server on windows home server 2011 also with no one logged in. You just have to add the Emby service as one of the "monitored services" in pulse way.

As a sidenote I love pulse way it's a great way to monitor a remote computer and see it's resource usage etc. Also if you have it as a monitor to service the app will let you know when Emby stops.
